Description:
The person in this role will be performing packaging
system line audits, analyzing results, preparing reports
and developing recommendations for improvements. They
must also be able to prepare construction cost
estimates, design package handling systems and
coordinate project work with vendors and equipment
suppliers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Regular equipment inspection
• Check-out and acceptance testing at the vendors
facilities
• Field installation
• Equipment commissioning
• Providing equipment start-up support
Skills and Requirements:
• Regular travel
• Recent experience
• Comfort in presenting proposals to Clients at all
levels
• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering - with
packaging as the focus
• 10 + years in the food and/or consumer goods fields
• Capitol project management
• Experience with liquid or solid loading systems
• Experience with Product packaging /wrapping systems
• Experience with case erection equipment and case
packaging equipment as well as partition inserters
• Automated inspection and rejection systems
• Experience with high speed palletizing, stretch
wrapping and pallet conveyors
• Experience with various types of conveyor systems
• Familiarity with sanitary design standards for food
packaging.
