Network Administrator

Responsibilities:
-
Maintain core switching across the organization to
ensure high levels of data quality, availability and
security
-
Install, configure and support network
infrastructure, evaluate new technologies and
products, implement network management tools.
-
Evaluates, plans, refines, recommends and implements
new voice, call center, wide-area data, Enterprise
Network (LAN) services, facilities, hardware,
network operating system software, network
protocols, network server and client workstation
equipment.
-
Understand immediate and long term business
requirements or changes that require IT actions to
support.
-
Design, install, configure and support LAN/WAN
communications systems in a large multi-campus
environment for a global corporation.
-
Initiate approved programs and projects based on
Project Management Office procedures and guidelines
-
Prepare project / track work plans for assigned
areas of local and enterprise wide infrastructure.

Initiate approved project/ tracks
-
Define business/functional work process designs
-
Ensure the development of technical solution designs
and document technical specifications. Responsible
for complying with the PMO, Change, Configuration
and release to Production Management activities
while ensuring existing SOX controls are met.
-
Responsible for participating in and managing
expense and capitol budgets within approved variance
percentages
-
Prepare program and/or project requests, priorities
and plans for assigned areas of applications.
Requirements:
Associates Degree in
Computer Science or related field with 8+ years
experience
~OR~
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field
with 5+ years experience.
• IT infrastructure Work Processes and Methodology
• Program/Project Management /Control Process
• Control and Management Oversight Processes
• Major Presentation Development
• Excellent communication skills
• CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) certification
• Hands on experience with basic routing and switching
at a CLI (command-line interface) 15 level.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Strong verbal communication and technical writing
skills
• Ability to manage multiple duties at the same time
• Conceptual and logical thinking
• Intuitive and analytical
• Ability to connect with multiple personality types
• Ability to produce deliverables independently and in
collaboration with others
• Effective analytical and problem solving skills
• CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional)
certification
• 5years hands on Cisco experience
• Understanding of VoIP , VoIP implementation and VoIP
support
