Description:
The Network Manager is
responsible for building and maintaining the network
services. Ensures the stability, security, and
productivity of the corporate network infrastructure by
providing senior-level technical expertise. Provides
senior-level technical consultation to support staff,
end users, and for business initiatives. Acts as a
project manager on network related projects.
The Network Manager position requires a versatile
technical individual with a background in designing,
implementing, and supporting networking systems. This
individual is responsible for performing the following
duties: management of the LAN/WAN and WLAN network
environments, Voice over IP services and security of the
local and wide area network in a multi-campus
environment and system support/management. This
individual must be able to evaluate, recommend and
support policy and procedures for LAN, WLAN and WAN,
routers, switches, firewall, VPN and hardware systems,
administrative system hardware environment and web
hardware and connectivity. The position will be
responsible for the implementations and the maintenance
of networked systems, infrastructure and other related
sub-systems to provide efficient resource utilization
and performance. In addition, this individual will be
involved in procurement recommendations.
Responsibilities:
Requirements:

Bachelors Degree
in Computer Science or a related field
-
3-8 years
experience in Network Management or Network
Engineering
-
Strong Project
Management skills - PMP Certification
-
Strong knowledge
of CISCO switching, routing, wireless and QoS
-
Experience in
Designing, Administering and maintaining networking.
-
Working knowledge
or experience with PC based platforms
-
Experience
designing, administering, and maintaining LAN/WAN
hardware and systems.
-
Experience with
managing network service and other related support
providers.
Other Skills/Abilities:
-
Strong skills in
PC server applications

Previous
experience as a Network Engineer
-
Demonstrated
experience with VoIP
