Description:
As the Technical Manager - IT PLM defense, you will
serve as the resource manager for the Lights On Support
Group, consisting of two on the job trainers (OJTs),
several PC Techs, a server administrator, a catalog
librarian and two application administrators. This
support team is responsible for the management of CAD
systems consisting of SmarTeam R17 and CATIA V5 and
additional CAD supporting applications. Additionally,
you will be responsible for providing tactical solutions
and alignment to strategic Corporate and Defense
Engineering objectives. This is a management position on
the CAD support team and the team will look to this
position for support and guidance on handling complex
systems and user problems.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide day to day direction to Lights On Support
Team.

Facilitate the coordination and management of
Engineering Change Control Board.

Provide weekly status to senior management.
-
Complete and conduct all employee reviews for Lights
On Support Team.

Notify management of business-impacting problems.

Continually develop extensive technical knowledge of
CATIA V5 & SMARTEAM applications.

Work with IT PLM Projects team to provide technical
resources for engineering projects.

Provide technical leadership for complex problems
and projects.
-
Maintain resource capacity plans.
-
Provide budgetary input to senior management.
-
Provide trending information to maintain accurate
license pools.

Identify opportunities for improvement either by
process creation or implementation of industry best
practices.

Work with business leadership and representatives to
obtain strategic objectives and create tactical road
map.

Experience with CATIA V5 R17 or newer workbenches
from a support standpoint

Experience managing application support teams

Certified PMP.

Exposure to the following PLM applications:

Strong verbal and written communication skills for
technical audiences; able to explain technical
solutions to technical and non-technical team.

Excellent decision making and problem solving
skills.

Enthusiastic and optimistic personality that
understands how to operate as a change agent.
